The Best Brunches in Lake Oswego

Easter weekend is upon us! From Bloody Mary flights to the best eggs benedict, our local brunch spots have it all. Here's our list of favorites (in no particular order as they are all too delicious to narrow it down!)

La Provence: Located in the Zupan's shopping center on Boones Ferry, La Provence is a classic French bistro with an atmosphere that is both casual and stylish. This is a chain but incredibly popular for its ample menu and perfect, incredible baked goods. The risotto cakes and eggs are very rich and flavorful, and the strawberry cheesecake pancakes are otherworldly. Insider tip: When they ask if you want a croissant on the side, trust us, you want to say yes. It often comes with a house-made raspberry jam. Take home the colorful and delicious Mararon's which they sell in boxes and pretty towers for the perfect addition to your Easter brunch at home.

Tavern on Kruse: Fresh beignets. Need we say more? The menu here is seasonal and changes. The belgian waffle with macerated berries and whipped mascarpone vanilla cream is beautiful, the chicken and waffles is served with spiced pumpkin butter and onion slaw and the Pit-Smoked Ham benedict on top of a house-made biscuit is delicious. Insider tip: They often have live jazz outside on the patio. Call ahead to find out the times.

Tasty: New to LO in the Mercato Grove in 2021 but a Portland favorite, Tasty celebrates all the bounty that the Northwest has to offer. Offering delicious handcrafted cocktails and small plates that are a foodie's dream, presented by funky hipsters, Tasty will make you feel like you've just stepped into the funkiest parts of Portland. Check out the Tasty Steak and Cheddar Eggs which comes with corn cake and jalapeno honey butter that's outstanding.

Babica Hen: Only open for breakfast and lunch, Babica Hen is the perfect spot to bring mixed company who wish for lunch and those who wish for breakfast. There are so many delicious options here it's hard to narrow it down, but we love the ricotta sour cream pancakes, the waffle monte cristo and the vanilla bread pudding french toast. These guys take their baked goods seriously: get a caramel apple sticky bun for the table and try the bloody mary sampler.

Lola's: Owned by the same team as Babica Hen but quite different, Lola's Cafe Bar is also a new option here in LO. Check out the carrot juice margarita and featured cocktails, which are always changing. These guys arguably offer one of the best lattes in town. Some favorite dishes include the spiced carrot pancakes and the havarti apple turkey sandwich for those looking for more lunch than breakfast. Insider tip: Surprisingly, this is also a great place to spot a sweet hostess gift as they feature a small collection of gifts such as special candles, serving spoons and beautiful local, handmade gifts that are always changing. These guys have a great Happy Hour but they close before dinner so get there early. The heated patio with the succulent wall is simple and charming.

Lac St Jack: Right next door to Tasty is Lac St Jack's, a favorite of NW Portland that found its way to a charming new location in Lake Oswego in 2021 in the Mercato Grove. With a beautiful but modern French cafe vibe, why not start with the oysters and champagne. Brunch is served on special occasions and, like any great French experience, includes a delicious and well-rounded selection of cheese and bread on their Petit Plats & Shareables menu. The cocktails are artsy and delicious as is the staff. Run don't walk.

Happy Brunching, everyone!
